The third annual Chefs for Kids' Cancer benefit hosted by Cookies for Kids' Cancer, a nonprofit organization funding pediatric cancer research, was held recently at Metropolitan West. It was an incredible event with virtually every top chef (Mario Batali, Bobby Flay, Marc Murphy, James Kent, Dan Kluger, Justin Smillie, et al.) cooking for individual tables. A few of our favorite photos are below, but in this album find more shots of notable guests including actor Paul Rudd, Princess Beatrice, radio host Elvis Duran, and actress/musician Jill Hennessy.

This year's benefit raised more than $1 million (and counting!) to fund pediatric cancer treatments. Cookies for Kids' Cancer was founded by Gretchen and Larry Witt, who lost their son Liam to pediatric cancer at the age of six. The couple realized a major gap in funding for pediatric cancer research, and, inspired by their son's own battle with the disease, they decided to take action and bake 96,000 cookies as a larger-than-life fundraiser to help fund a treatment in development.

This extraordinary bake sale raised more than $420,000 and helped to fund a treatment children are receiving today. Through the concept of local events and online cookie sales, Cookies for Kids’ Cancer has granted more than $10 million to date, funding six dozen research projects, including 32 that are now treatments available for children battling cancer today.

OR better yet, BUY COOKIES! All proceeds go back to the organization: http://wwwcookiesforkidscancer.org/Shop/Cookies
