Foodie Mail: What You're Asking NYCFG

This is just a small collection of the items that come across my desk. I thought you'd find a few of these helpful, so I am reposting as-is, no edits.

Dear NYC Foodie Girl, I like your site! Where can I go for Thanksgiving in NYC? Will there be any restaurants open?

Thanks in advance,
Lilly

Hi Lilly,
Thanks for writing. :)

Yes, there are plenty of options to choose from, but I would highly suggest that you check OpenTable.com for a reservation ASAP. You can check the menus and make sure you have a seat at the table.

Happy Turkey Day and enjoy!

Dear NYC Foodie Girl,
What's the best place to go in NYC?

Hi mike,
Thanks for writing. I'll need a lot more information in order to help you. However, to be brutally honest, I don't think there *is* a "best place" - there are categories and a lot depends on your own personal taste and location is also key.

Where in the city are you looking to dine? What kind of food do you like? Is there a cuisine you're absolutely opposed to or are you an adventurous type?

And another big thing to know: what's your price point? NYC has a ton of choices, so it's hard to answer "the best" of anything without a lot more detail or information.
Cheers,
NYCFG

Dear NYCFG, What's with the name?
Jenna

Jenna,
Geez - seriously? I don't know, the URL was available so I took it. I don't know how long I can keep calling myself "Girl" as it is... and yes, even I'm a bit annoyed with the term "foodie". NYCFG is also easier than writing out "NYC Foodie Girl" all of the time. It's just a name. Would a souffle' taste any different if it was named sweet baked eggy whip?
